Here at My Sleepy Friend, we always proudly say: "Tested and approved by our own sleepy little friends." But who exactly are these mysterious product testers?
Well, it’s time to introduce the real masterminds behind the brand. While I (Patrik) might be packing boxes, and running the website, these guys are the true CEOs. They work tirelessly, mostly by sleeping, eating, and pooping, to ensure every single item we sell meets the highest standards of coziness and safety.
Sisu – The Head of Quality & Safety Control (Herd Queen)
- Personality: Sweet, curious, righteous & athletic
- Favorite My Sleepy Friend Product: Hammocks
- Testing style: Curious to test anything, but loses interest fast
Minttu – The Chief Snuggle Officer
- Personality: Shy, cautious, sweet tooth
- Favorite My Sleepy Friend Product: Pee Pads
- Testing style: Likes to take her time when testing the durability. Also leaves fur everywhere.
Lempi – The (Not Picky) Snack Master
- Personality: Energetic, thinks that she is taller than she is, drama queen
- Favorite My Sleepy Friend Product: Snacks. All. Of. Them.
- Testing style: Eats fast and makes loud noises when someone approaches
Emre – The Ultimate Marathon Runner
- Personality: Shy, allergic to touch, runs faster than me
- Favorite My Sleepy Friend Product: Pastel Pink Dustpan and Brush Set for Small Animal Cages
- Testing style: Suddenly becomes curious every time we clean the cage and likes to hover around the dustpan and brush
How Our Safety & Quality Testing Works
We know how stressful it can be to shop for small pets. There are so many products out there made with dangerous fabrics, or narrow holes where small legs and toes can get stuck.
That’s exactly why My Sleepy Friend exists. We do the worrying so you don't have to. Before any new hidey, tunnel, or cage liner makes it to the shop, it goes straight into our own guinea pig enclosure for a trial run. We monitor closely to ensure:
- Toe-Safe Seams: Are all seams properly hidden so tiny nails won't get snagged?
- Durability: Does it hold up well to natural chewing, scratching, and digging habits?
- Safe Designs: Are the holes and tunnels wide enough for even the chunkiest potato to pass through safely?
- Hygiene & Comfort: Does it stay dry, soft, and easy to wash?

Only the products that are 100% safe and survive real, everyday guinea pig life make it to our store. If it’s not safe enough for our herd, it’s not safe enough for yours.
